Sleep Hypnosis

Depending on your interpretation of this title, this can mean using hypnosis to fall asleep, or using hypnosis while you sleep to address other issues, either way, the end result is using hypnosis in some combination sleep.

At this stage, the assumption will be using hypnosis to fall asleep, especially that it is the theme of this website. Another assumption about using hypnosis to fall asleep is that hypnosis will mainly address the mental aspect (calming the mind and relaxing the body) while other physical ailments will have to be addressed outside of hypnosis.

If you've ever heard the proverb: 'it takes 21 days to form a habit', the whole purpose of hypnosis is to fast track habit formations to at least one session or reduce the amount of daily conditioning if using self hypnosis.
Being able to fall asleep at the end of the day requires your mind to go into a calm state which naturally induces the brain waves that take you into sleep, this would involve focusing on one object or thought that has no particular meaning or interest to you.

Once that focus is attained, the mind slowly goes into more relaxed states and eventually this leads into sleep. This is achieved in self hypnosis by going into trance and either going into a place of immense clarity and peace, or by just suggesting that as soon as your head touches the pillow, your mind will become focus on one thought only.

This is best performed just before sleep and re-enforced for 21 days, and as this is self hypnosis, it really depends on the person him or herself as they really do need to go into a deeper trance to ensure suggestions are not blocked by the own person's critical factor. The repetitions for 21 days serve to convince the unconscious mind that you are serious and therefore becomes an engrained habit.

Just as you include suggestions and visualizations to fall asleep easily and deeply, also include waking up feeling wide awake, refreshed and rejuvenated at a specific time in the morning, and as you continue with this eventually, you can just 'will' sleeping deeply and waking up refreshed and rejuvenated.

Imagine reaching a point where you have such a wonderful and positive relationship with your unconscious mind, so that you can just think in your mind that you will sleep like a log, in a very deep sleep, relaxed and calm, no biting or clenching, and waking up refreshed and rejuvenated after such a wonderful sleep, and even without planning for it, you have developed such a remarkable new habit that allows you to live a better life from now onwards.
